Meet the Designers
Jared Bateman
Jared is a true Renaissance man, his wide array of talents and interests giving him the ability to visualize and adapt design with ingenuity. From taming a steer at his childhood home to working for an aviation company in France, Jared’s broad experience and multifaceted perspective give him unique insights to craft full-bodied projects. He earned his master’s degree in human factors (applied psychology) to capitalize on his natural aptitude for user-centered design. Jared has worked with large corporations, family businesses, non-profits, and rural communities with an eye to improve their processes and help them succeed in their mission. He is a quick study and skillfully utilizes empathy to understand and translate ideas into visual representations, always with efficiency and usability in mind.
When not working on design projects, Jared enjoys rock climbing, brushing up on his French, and swing dancing with his beautiful wife Emily.

Emily Bateman
Emily has the strange and wonderful combination of analytical attention to detail and an artistic beauty-loving nature, evidenced by her bachelor’s degree in music composition. She complements Jared’s breadth of knowledge by being ever-ready to enjoy digging in the weeds, working out the minutiae of his elegantly designed concepts. As the co-founder of a small business in 2015, Emily has a special place in her heart for startups and family-owned enterprises. Her venture into web design began as a result of her dissatisfaction with the current website options available, so she was thrilled to start Designs2Connect with her husband to help fill that niche.
Offline, Emily’s pastimes include teaching music lessons, baking Jared’s favorite mincemeat pie, and going “hiking” with their toddler.
